In 1682 German philosopher and mathematician Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz developed a formula for Pi.

(In case you don’t know, Pi is a mathematical constant that is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, and is approximately equal to 3.14159.)

This is at Leibnizplatz (Leibniz square) in Bremen.
